About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Sommelier to join the Cala Vista team in Jumeirah Mina Al Salam . The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Oversee daily wine service, ensuring smooth coordination with the service team and enhancing guest experience through expert recommendations.
Maintain proper wine stock levels, monitor rotation and storage, and minimize wastage from opened bottles.
Communicate wine availability and actively contribute suggestions for updates to the wine list.
Support team training by sharing product knowledge and participating in tastings and briefings.
Assist with monthly inventories, report discrepancies, and ensure accurate temperature records for wine chillers.
Uphold service standards during peak operations, including refills, pairings, and special requests.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Two years of experience in the same role with a strong F&B background in a 5-star luxury property or a fine-dining standalone/branded restaurant.
Proficient in English and a second language (European languages are desirable).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Micros, and Sevenrooms.
Expert in Wine, WSET certification required.
Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
